THERM-O-WATCH (TOW) was originally developed
in 1957 as a "thermometer watcher" to monitor temperatures that required tedious
watching. But TOW is actually a liquid
level monitor that responds to the level of polar liquids in tubing, sight glasses and
other containers. Many thousands of TOW have
been used over the years in conjunction with Hg thermometers; however, the true
applicability of this unique lab instrument is in monitoring liquid levels and
pressure/vacuum in the lab.
